1. Please post threads in the appropriate area. We’ve tried to provide a place for everything, but if you have a topic that you don’t think will fit anywhere, let us know!
2. Please do not “bump” old threads. If you have a salient point to make on a thread that hasn’t had any replies in a while, by all means, do so….but no posting one word replies, or “bump” with the express purpose of bringing old threads back to the top of the forum.
3. Absolutely NO flaming allowed! Everyone has an opinion and we realize that. Respect other people’s opinions as you would want them to respect yours! If you need to, agree to disagree and move on! One transgression will get you a warning. After that, you’re outta here, baby!
4. Try to stay on topic for the thread. We know it’s not always possible, but let’s keep the majority of posts on topic.
5. If you have issues with another board member and you can’t play nice, please PM a moderator.
6. If you have a question on how the board works, we have a drawer for that, or you can PM a moderator.
7. The moderators have the power to close and/or delete any thread we think is not appropriate discussion. Don’t bitch, just live with it.
8. Signatures are limited to 750 x 250. We are not as concerned about the height requirement as we are about the width, as anything wider than 750 pixels throws the board out of whack. If yours is longer, please shorten it. Also, please do not use animated GIFs as signatures or avatars.
9. Likewise, while we LOVE the huge pics of Jake and assorted entourage that are being posted, they are throwing the board off kilter. From now on, pics will be limited to 750 pixels in width.
10. How to add a signature:
a. Find a pic you want to use, or a banner you’ve made and upload it to a site that allows you to link it somewhere else (“hotlinking.”) A couple of good sites to use are www.imageshack.us and www.photobucket.com.
b. After you’ve uploaded your pic, click on the URL (the address of your image) and copy it.
c. Go to your Profile and click on Modify Profile. Scroll down to where you see Signature next to a box. Paste the URL of your picture in the box and add the tags![]()
[/IMG ] around the address. Take the spaces out of the Image Tags first!
d. Click on Modify Profile and you’re done!
11. How to add an avatar:
a. This is very similar to adding a signature, with just a couple of minor changes.
b. First you will need to find a pic you want to use as your avatar, and again, upload it to Imageshack or Photobucket.
c. In the space marked Avatar, there is a drop-down menu of several default board avatars. Make sure this reads “None.” (unless you do want to use one of those, then by all means, pick that one, click on Modify Profile, and you’re done!)
d. In the next box, marked Avatar URL, paste the address of the pic you want to use as your avatar.
e. In the boxes marked Avatar Width and Height, you will need to specify the size you want the avatar to be. The board is limited to avatars that are NO bigger than 100 x 100. Keep in mind that you will need to figure out the size before you try to add it to your Profile, since just changing the picture size may cause it to go all wonky and distorted. For instance, mine is set at W 75 x H 100.
f. Again, click on Modify Profile, and you’re done!
